Our Inaugural fundraising banquet was a success! On the evening of Saturday, September 26th, 130 people gathered at the Mount Dora Yacht Club to learn more about the mission of Ruth House and the transformations that take place there daily. The evening began with the mingling of current and future supporters of Ruth House as well as bidding on silent auction items. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by Moss Gate Bed & Breakfast and served by all of the current Ruth House women. While they dined, Kimberly Grabert, Statewide Human Trafficking Prevention Director, spoke abouthuman trafficking, a devastating issue that many of the women at Ruth House have been victims of. Following dinner, guests were served dessert and coffee as Emily Newman, a past graduate of Ruth House, shared her beautiful testimony. Rebecca Randall, the founder and director of Ruth House, closed the evening with her expressions of gratitude to all who have partnered with us in the past and those that made commitments to join us as we move towards future endeavors. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make our first fundraising banquet a success and we look forward to seeing how God will use this event to bless the women and children of Ruth House in the coming months.
